trapped
She was playing the game
in a crowded room
she made a move
they stared with gloom
the people left
she was alone
the walls caved in
this was her home
she could not leave
and could not move
she was stuck
she indeed did lose
her neck cramped
her foot fast asleep
she tried to yell
she could not breathe

alone
she was exploding with passion
the others walked by
they were holding their groceries
hardly gave her an eye
she was bubbling and dancing and running around
they moved slowly and carefully
they were quiet and sound

Darkroom
She stood alone in the darkroom
the undeveloped photos in her hand
she dropped them on the floor
they melted into sand
she let her feet sink in
the moon shone on her face
the memories were gone
but the pain was there to stay
